Mrs. Dorothy Mae Clower Shrum, better known as “Doda” age 84, of Rossville, GA, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021.
Mrs. Shrum was born in Kingston, TN, on February 24, 1937, the daughter of the late Elmer Lee Clower and Arite Mae Phifer Clower. She was a member of East Ridge Church of the Nazarene and prior New Life Baptist Church for many years. She loved her family and especially being with the grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shrum was preceded in death by her first husband, Jesse “Bud” Lynn; five brothers; and a sister.
Survivors include her husband, Willie Edward Shrum of eighteen years; children, Sharon Guillot, Matthew Lynn (Doris), and Marcella Templin (Keith); eight grandchildren, Zane Chancey, Jace Chancey, Mattison Johnson, Kirby Guillot, Chelsey Lynn, Michael Lynn, Kinsey Templin, and Cole Templin; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Thompson; and a brother, Glen Clower (Katherine). Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021, at noon, Lane Funeral Home South Crest Chapel with Michael Lee officiating. Interment will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 1:00 P.M., Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Friday, October 8, 2021, from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Lane Funeral Home South Crest Chapel.
