Dorton Lee Harris, 60, of Rossville, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at his residence.

A native and lifelong resident of the north Georgia area, Mr. Harris was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a self-employed roofer.  He enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing, and spending time with his family.  Dorton was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Dorton & Anna Marie Harris, son, Steven Cantrell, and one sister.

Survivors include his wife, Robin Mines; sons, Danny (Vanassa) Lynn, Jeffery Lynn, & Paul (Kelly) Cantrell; daughters, Robin Harris & Danielle Shook; daughter-in-law, Holly Cantrell; step-children, Jed, Joe & Deanna Holt; grandchildren, Paul Cantrell, III, James Cantrell, Jasmine Cantrell, Alexis Lynn, Kiley Cantrell, Hayley Perkins, Darian Lynn, Arianne Lynn, Roger Lee Cantrell, Danny Lynn, Jr., Daniel Lynn, Alan Ramsey, Laney & Eli Jones; great-grandson, Mason Cantrell.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 14th at 1:30 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with burial to follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.  To share expressions of sympathy, visit lane-southcrestchapel.com.
