Elizabeth Young Worthington, 86, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018.

 

Elizabeth was a beloved art, music, and drama teacher for over 60 years.  She was also an accomplished artist who painted every day of her life and whose oil and water color paintings have been displayed in many collections throughout the region.

 

Elizabeth was born in Charlotte, NC and lived in Emory, VA until attending Mary Washington College (UVA), graduating with a B.A. in Art & Music (classical piano).  She lived most of her life in Chattanooga, where she was loved my many friends of all ages.

 

Mrs. Worthington was preceded in death by her husband, Wickliffe (Dub) Worthington, III, sons, Wickliffe Aaron Worthington, IV, and Wickliffe Aaron Worthington, V, one brother, and a sister.

 

Survivors include her daughters, Rhonda W. Snyder and Elizabeth W. Daly; many grand and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

 

A memorial service will be held Monday, April 9th at 6:00 p.m. at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1505 North Moore Road, Chattanooga, TN, 37411.

 

In lieu of flowers or donations, the family asks that you bring a pot-luck dish after the service for fellowship and the sharing of memories in the fellowship hall of the church.

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
