Emma Jean (Kirk) Moore

Emma Jean Moore, 82, of Rossville passed away Monday, July 4, 2022 at her home.  She was a native of Jackson County Alabama and had lived most of her life in Catoosa and Walker Counties.  Throughout the years Emma Jean worked at K-Mart, Payless Shoes, and the majority of her time was at Hutcheson Medical Center as a Surgical Tech, Switchboard Operator, and Secretary.  She retired in the early 2000’s from Hutcheson Medical Center with over 40 years of service.  Emma Jean was a member of South Rossville Baptist Church.  Her passions in life were her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  She loved to cook, sew, and do needle work.  She was also known for her lengthy conversations and her loving and giving heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ora Kirk; sisters, Freda Kirk, Virginia (Glenn) Allison, and Edna (Charles) Perkins; brother-in-law, Clyde Beavers; brother, Kelsey Kirk.

Survivors include her two daughters, Jeannie (Doug) Mullins and Alesha (David) Fuquea; adopted daughter, Darlene Stokes; sister, Sula Beavers; brother, J.W. (Joy) Kirk; five grandchildren, Morgan Stone (Hayley Marler), Kyle (Rachel) Stone, Spencer (Brenda) Mullins, Hunter Ferguson, and Libby Ferguson; four great grandchildren, Emma Stone, Dylan Stone, Delilah Stone, and Lylyth Ferguson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 15th, 2022 at 3pm in the South Crest Chapel with Dr. David Sampson officiating.
