Era Glenn, Jr.

Era F. Glenn, Jr., 84, Rossville, Ga., died January 1, 2018, in a local health care facility.  He was born in McMinnville, Tenn.  Mr. Glenn was a member of Rossville Church of Christ.  He was a former employee of Swope Equipment and Shipping Company for 24 years.  Mr. Glenn enjoyed fishing, golf, woodworking, Red Belt Karate, drag strip racing and spending time with his family.  He was preceded in death by a son, Era F. Glenn III; parents, Era Fox,  and Victoria Askew Glenn; son-in-law, Karl H. Rushing.

Survivors are his wife of 64 years, Ethel Glenn; daughters, Pamala Rushing, Sheilah (LeBron) Newton; granddaughters, Samantha (Michael) McNabb, Tabitha (Jason) Smith, Melissa (Garry) Trulove, Karla Kiker; grandsons, Nathan Glenn, Era F. Glenn IV; sister, Rebecca Nobles, San Antonia, Texas; 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will held 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Minister Jack James officiating.  Interment in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. 

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral  Home, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
