Eric S. Keel

Eric S. Keel, 49 of East Ridge, lost his battle with lung cancer on Thursday, January 7th, 2021 in a local hospital.

Eric was born in Chattanooga and was raised in the Lakeview, GA and East Ridge, TN area. He attended East Ridge High School and worked for Estes as an installer for almost 10 years then began working in the construction and remodeling industry. Eric enjoyed life to its fullest and is described as an “Earth Angel,” always helping others. He was a fighter and survivor his entire life. Eric was not expected to live past the age of 3 and surprised everyone with his warrior’s spirit. He loved to make people laugh, play jokes and pranks, go kayaking and four wheeling, and most of all his ‘68 and ‘69 Camaro’s. Eric is very much loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, Scott and Mable Newell; uncle, Scott Newell, Jr.; aunts, Carolyn Newell and Celia Ashely; and nephew, Ronnie Butler.

Survivors include his mother, Libby Dickson; fiancée, Kim Dangler; sister, Tina Keel; many friends, and extended family members.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 1pm in the Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
