Ethan Ashton Miller, 18 of Ooltewah, hiked home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 8th, 2020.
Ethan was born in South Bend Indiana, was raised in the “Michiana” area, and had moved to Ooltewah in 2014. He attended East Hamilton High School and worked as a Chef for Little Caesar’s Pizza. Ethan enjoyed cooking on and off the job and had considered making the culinary arts his career. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and especially enjoyed helping with VBS and Mission Trips with his church, Brainerd Hills Baptist. Ethan loved the outdoors: swimming, kayaking, canoeing, sail boat racing, and especially hiking. Hiking was Ethan’s passion and was affectionately known on the trail as, “Jackrabbit Slim.” Throughout his life Ethan was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout which fueled his love of the outdoors. When he wasn’t outside, Ethan enjoyed video gaming with his buddies, working out at the YMCA, and making people laugh. He will be remembered for his funny t-shirts and quick wit.
Ethan was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jeffrey Smith and beloved dog, Corduroy.
Survivors include his parents, Stephen and Shelly Miller; siblings: Andrew, Collin, and Molly Miller; maternal “Nana,” Nancy Smith; paternal grandparents, Katy (Eddie)Howe and Joe (Joyce) Miller; Uncle, Dan (Christie) Miller; cousin, Timothy Miller; Aunt, Stacy (Joel) Crawford; several other cousins and many friends.
