Franklin “Frank” Simpson, 87, passed away on June 19, 2021. He lived in Flintstone, GA and graduated from Chattanooga Valley High School in 1950. Frank honorably served in the Navy and fought in the Korean War for 4 years. He retired from Combustion Engineering as a welder in 1997 after 41 years of service.
Frank loved to golf and enjoyed playing as long as he was able. He also enjoyed Nascar racing and watching old western movies and television shows, esp. Gunsmoke.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Jessie Hixson Simpson.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Simpson; son, Barry Simpson; sister’s Anna Lee Miller and Martha (Dawlon) Conkle; brother, Bill Simpson.
Graveside services will be held at the Chattanooga National Cemetery on Wednesday, June 23 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor, Dawlon Conkle will officiate.
The family will receive visitors at Lane South Crest Chapel and Crematory on Wednesday, June 23 from 10:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
