Frederick "Rusty" Howard Russell

Howard “Rusty” Russell, 80 of Chickamauga, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 in his home.

Rusty graduated in the 1957 class of Rossville High school and was the owner and operator of Rusty’s Meat Market for over 50 years. He was an active member of the Rossville Church of Christ. Rusty enjoyed antique cars, ballroom dancing and golfing, but most of all he cherished his family and loved the Lord. 

Rusty was preceded in death by his parents, B. Eldridge and Leoana Locke Russell; first wife and mother of his children, Betty Russell; brother, Alvin Russell.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Killingsworth Hayes Russell; daughters, Janie (Greg) Jackson and Suzi Russell; son, Rick Russell; step-children: L. Jeffery (Carol) Hayes, Phyllis (Cecil) Jenkins, and Susan (Tim) Rule; grandchildren: Heather Voss, Brittany Berger, Jeffery Hayes, Jennifer Brantley, Kellie King, Christopher Jenkins, Stephanie Hubbard, and Julie Smith; 11 great grandchildren; nephew, Ronnie and niece, Debbie.

A private family graveside service will be held at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South with Ministers Jack James and Alan Watkins officiating. The family will be serving as pallbearers.
