Gary M Darienzo

Gary M. Darienzo, 71, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2024. He was born in Orange, New Jersey to parents Edward and Ann Bucella Darienzo.  They raised their son in West Orange, New Jersey.

Gary attended Kean University and worked for Shop Rite in New Jersey. He later worked for Pet Supermarket in Sunrise, Florida. He loved music and watching the Food Network, where he tried all kinds of recipes they would share.  Gary enjoyed spending time with his family, whom he loved dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ann Bucella Darienzo; in-laws, Phillip and Nancy Compofelice.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years, Joanne P. (Compofelice) Darienzo; a son, Damian (Bre) Darienzo; grandchildren, Kaitlyn I., Olivia M., and Tyler M. Darienzo; siblings, Edward (Susan) Darienzo and Marianne (Fred) Dezao; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A chapel service will be held at 4:00pm on Thursday, March 21, 2024, with Pastor Jim Bennett officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 1:00 until the funeral hour at 4:00pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org).
