Gary Drake
Gary “Cusser” Drake, 69, of Rossville passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at a local hospital. Mr. Drake was a lifelong resident of the Westside Community where he was a 1971 graduate of Lakeview High School. He worked for several years at Combustion Engineering as a Professional Welder and he was the Vice President of Choo Choo Truck Wash in Ringgold for over 35 years. Mr. Drake enjoyed riding motorcycles with his friends throughout the years and he was a member of the former Rappers of Chattanooga Bike Club. He also enjoyed canoeing. He enjoyed his time canoeing with the Broad River Group where he was known as the Broad River Photographer and the creator of the the infamous “Kitty Hawk”. Mr. Drake loved his wife dearly and he was big romantic. He was known for making bouquets for his wife every Saturday with the flowers from their yard. After each of his motorcycle rides he and his wife would enjoy a dance together usually to Conway Twitty. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Drake and Lillie Sharp; and step-daughter, Pam Lowry.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Loraine Drake; children, Chad (Mary Ann) Drake, Kyndal Drake, Dolores McKinney, Tony Peterson, and Lisa Peterson; two brothers, Wayne (Kathy) Drake and Tony (Rosalee) Gilbert; step-sister, Elaine (Jim) Mason; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family requests that if you ride motorcycles to please do ride to the visitation and funeral in memory of Mr. Drake.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00p.m. in the South Crest Chapel.

The family will receive friends Friday from 4-8p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, GA.
