Gary Anthony Vandergriff, 55, of Rossville passed away Friday, July 6, 2018. He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area where he worked as a Technician in the Automotive Industry. Gary loved to race. If it had wheels on it he would race it. He was known throughout the area at all of the race tracks. Gary raced Mini-Stock, he dragged raced, and raced on the dirt oval. He was a member of the Dalton Drag Strip and the Outcast Model Car Club.
He was preceded in death by his dad, James Vandergriff and brother, Eddie Vandergriff.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Robin Vandergriff; two children, Jason Vandergriff of Rossville and Nichole Vandergriff of Ft. Oglethorpe; mother, Carla Vandergriff of Ringgold; sister, Vickie Vandergriff of Sevierville, TN; four grandchildren, Bradley, Rene, A.J. and Hayden Vandergriff; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 9, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the South Crest Chapel.
Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Jasper, TN.
The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 am and until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
