Geneva Phillips

Geneva Phillips, 91 of Lookout Mtn., GA went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 23rd, 2020.

Geneva was born and raised in the Rossville, GA area and was of the Baptist faith. She was a private care giver for over 50 years and loved her job. Geneva enjoyed puzzles, games, going camping in Harrison Bay, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Phillips; children: Judy Bowling, and Randy Phillips, Sr.; parents, Jess and Levecha Harris; siblings: Jesse Weathers, Ethel Jones, Marie Pittman, Ruth Harris, Jack Harris, Dan Harris, Sam Harris, Tom Harris, Will Harris, and Carl Harris; and granddaughter, Pamela Denise Wiltberger.

Survivors include her daughters: Arizona (Bruce) Boyd and Etta Bess; grandchildren: Chris (Rosemary) Bess, Jeff (Kristel) Bess, Lisa (Evan) Foster, Kirk Bess, Danny Bess, Geneen Phillips, Randy (Melanie) Phillips, Jr., and Marcus Phillips; sister, Sally McGill;  and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 27th at 1pm in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Jim Bennett officiating. Webcasting of the funeral will be available on Lane’s website. Interment will follow in the Payne’s Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-8pm and Monday from 11am-1pm in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, Rossville.
