Gloria Jean (Kelley) Brown

Gloria Brown, 68, of Rossville went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 10, 2022 at a local hospital.  She lived most of her life in the Chattanooga and North Georgia area where she was a 1971 graduate of Kirkman High School.  Mrs. Brown began her career at D.M. Stewart and she retired in 2015 from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee as a Financial Recovery Specialist with 35 years of service.  Mrs. Brown was a past member of Fellowship Baptist Church having served as Sunday School Teacher, the Bus Ministry, she drove the van for the elderly, and cooked breakfast every Saturday for the Men’s Prayer Breakfast.  She was currently an active member of Bible Baptist Church.  Mrs. Brown loved the Lord and loved her family dearly.  She had a servant’s heart always putting others before herself.  Mrs. Brown loved to bake and she was known for her Thumbprint Cookies and making cupcakes to celebrate birthdays throughout the year.  She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Brown; parents, Felix and Virginia Kelley; and sister, Diane Rose Kelley.

Survivors include two daughters, Cinnamon Dawn Brown and Melinda Sue (Lamar) Sosebee; sisters, Faye (Steve) Bradley, Theresa Ford, Debbie (Tim) Sims, and May (Tim) Davis; brother, Gene (Cindy) Kelley; five grandchildren, Jordon Brown, Macy Owenby, Spencer Sosebee, Garett Sosebee, and Bella Sosebee; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:00p.m. at Bible Baptist Church 110 Talley Avenue Rossville, GA 30741 with Pastor Ricky Gravley officiating.

Interment will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00p.m. until the funeral hour at the Church.
