Gloria Jean (Harrison) Wilson

Gloria Jean Wilson, 90, of East Ridge went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 1, 2020.  She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and Ft. Oglethorpe area, was a 1947 graduate of Central High School, and was a longtime member of Ft. Oglethorpe First Baptist Church.  Mrs. Wilson volunteered for 35 years at Hutcheson Medical Center in Ft. Oglethorpe and she received the Volunteer of the Year Award in the state of Georgia in 1993.  Mrs. Wilson loved the Lord, volunteering her time helping others, traveling, reading, sewing, and working puzzles.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin M. Wilson; and parents, Dr. and Mrs. Emmitt Harrison.

Survivors include her four children, Edwin Greylon (T.R.) Wilson, Kimberly Jean Head, Deborah Ann (Kal) Helou, and Candace Lee (Jack) Pyburn; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
