Hallie “Louise” Brooke Smith, 26 of Ooltewah, passed away Saturday, November 2nd, 2019 in a local hospital.
Hallie was born in Chattanooga and lived in Ooltewah her entire life. She graduated in 2011 from Ooltewah High School with honors and earned an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Science from Chattanooga State. Hallie attended Venue Church in Chattanooga and worked as a Veterinary Tech for over three years with Veterinary Care and Specialty Group. Most recently she was the head Veterinary Surgical Technician. Hallie was a passionate advocate for animals, who loved her job and would rescue and foster as many dogs as she could. She also enjoyed sunflowers, all kinds of doughnuts, and sloths. Hallie is loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Hallie was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; Johnny and Jean Smith; uncles, Jimmy White and Mike Sharp; and great-uncle, Curt Vinson.
Survivors include her parents, Tommy and Jennifer Smith; sister, Hannah Smith; grandparents, Johnny and JoAnn Biggs; aunts, Jessica Biggs and Brenda Sharp; uncles, Bob (Sandra) White and Norman (Cyndi) Bonds; great grandmother, Sandra Winningham; loving boyfriend, Dr. Jake Barnett; best friends, Kaitlyn Fly, Katie Patty, Erica Alvey, and Jessica Graham ; eleven dogs; and many cousins, extended family, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, November 6th at 1:30pm in the South Crest Chapel with Brother Bill Stokes officiating. Interment will follow in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
