Helen (Reese) Daniel

Helen Reese Daniel, 98, was born on July 31, 1922 and was raised in Trenton, GA before spending her adult life as a wife, mother, and homemaker.  She then spent time as a CNA, Unit Secretary at Erlanger and years as an in-home caregiver.

Helen was of the Baptist faith.  Her interests included reading and bird watching.  She also enjoyed watching bowling, golf and horse racing.   Helen had a great love for current events and politics and enjoyed reading her daily Bible devotions. She was a supporter of St. Jude and the Wounded Warriors Project.  Helen enjoyed contacting people as she tracked down family and friend ancestries.

Helen was preceded in death by parents, Eva (Pryor) and Leslie Reese; brother, Lawrence Reese; sisters, Sallie French and Sadie Gray; the father of her five children, Denvil Daniel, and their sons, Ronald and Dwight Daniel.

Helen is survived by her daughter and caregiver of the last 25 years, Debbie (Leroy) Hartline; daughters, Sue Bethune and Judy Hicks; grandchildren, Tim (Amy) Hartline, Carmen (Chris) Rawls, Kenny Bethune, Randy Bethune, Vickie McBryar, Donna Levitt, April Daniel, Shelley Holland, Tara Harris and B.J. Hartline; daughter-in-law, Cassie Daniel. Helen leaves behind many great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank caregivers, Veronica Moore and Karen Heard, for their devotion through the years.

To know Helen was to know of her amazing strength.

Graveside services will be on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Trenton Baptist Cemetery with Pastor, Drew Tankersley officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Lane South Crest Chapel, 833 Chickamauga Avenue, Rossville, GA
