Helen Alta (Steele) Davis

Helen “Alta” Steele Davis, age 90, a lifetime resident of Rossville, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. Alta was born in Rossville, Georgia to the late X L and Sarah Au Steele on September 17, 1933. She worked as an X-ray technician for many years, was a lifelong member of McFarland Methodist Church. Alta loved gardening, an avid basketball fan who loved the Boston Celtics, a volunteer reader at Cloud Springs Elementary School, and an active member of the Silver Sneakers.

In addition to her Parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Paul Davis, Brother, Joe Steele, Sister; Annette Steele Chase.

Survivors include her three Daughters and two Sons-in-law; Candy and Mickey Edmond, Lori Showalter, Donna and Chris Sells, five Grandchildren, Eli Morris, Sarah Nance, Micah Rodriguez, Samuel Blackwell, and Steele Showalter, four Great Grandchildren; Kendall Morris, Cooper Morris, Elijah Rodriguez, Maximiliano Rodriguez, Cousin; Lynn Mahoney Ownsby, several Nieces and Nephews and many other extended family and friends to cherish her memory.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, December 11, 2023 at Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
