Jack Wesley Cawood, 71, formerly of Ringgold, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 01, 2018 surrounded by his family.
He was born May 29, 1947 to Bettye Cawood and was a 1966 graduate of Ringgold High School. Jack was the co-owner of J & C Quick Stop for 25 years until his retirement. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, the Georgia Bulldogs and treasured the last two years traveling the country in their camper with his wife. Anyone who knew Jack knew he was always full of wit, humor and jokes.
Jack was preceded in death by his father Raymond Henley Cawood.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Cheryl Darby Cawood; children, Michelle (John) Schorle, Wes Cawood, Shelaine (Brian) Morrison, & Brent Jeno; sisters, Judy (Jim) McBride and Deborah (Gene) Ledford; brother, Michael (Rhonda) Cawood; grandchildren, Chandler O’Neal, Savannah (Breanna) Jeno, Connor O’Neal, Cody Baker, Ashley (Hayden) Cox, Ian Jeno and Jack Cawood, great-grandchild; Jamson Colt Cox; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 37403.
The family wishes to thank the Medical Staff 4th floor West and MICU Unit staff at Parkridge Hospital for their special care
