James William Brown, Sr.

James Brown, Sr., 65, of Tunnel Hill, GA passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020 at his home.  He was a lifelong resident of Catoosa County and a 1972 graduate of Ringgold High School.  Mr. Brown was a simple man who enjoyed doing small engine repair, tinkering, and helping others.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Merritta Brown.

Survivors include two children, Lee Ann Steed (Matt) and James Brown, Jr. (Lindsey); parents, Paul Brown, Sr. and Ernestine Brown; brothers, Paul Brown, Jr. and Sam Brown; sisters, Hazel Black and Cindy Morrow; eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and countless close family and friends.

A Gathering of Friends to honor the life of Mr. Brown will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 3-5:00pm at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
