James Ray Crawford, 63, of Ringgold, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Crawford was a 1973 graduate of Tyner High School and was retired as a boilermaker with local #454 for over thirty years.   He was of the Baptist faith, served in the U.S. Coast Guard, enjoyed music, singing, playing the drums, and the Tennessee Vols.  Mr. Crawford was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Crawford & Bobbie Lee Crawford-Bonds, and son, Keith Crawford.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Norma Bates Crawford; daughter, Jodi (Jason) Ward; son, Kelly Crawford; grandchildren, Aiden Crawford, Jacey Ward, & Delaney Crawford; brothers, Lynn (Bettye) Crawford, & Jeff Crawford; sister, Angie (Mike) Schreiber; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held Tuesday, August 8th at 2:00 p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. David Burris officiating.

The family will receive friends Monday from 4 – 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
