James Richard Williams, 69, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Williams was born in Fort Payne, Alabama on September 28, 1948 to the late John and Ruby Williams. He was the owner/operator of Williams Produce in Chattanooga for many years. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed playing pool, watching television, collecting coins and model cars. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his niece, Tracy Lynn Bishop, sister, Barbara Hover, brothers-in-law, Richard Heinz and Bob Hover, stepfather, Tommy Reynolds.

Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Kay Williams, son, Bynum “Bubba” Williams, sister, Glenda Kay Rolen, brother, David Williams, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 8, 2017 in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Jim Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
