James Perry Ridge, 74, of Lookout Valley passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019 at a local hospital. Mr. Ridge had lived most of his life in Lookout Valley, was of the Church of God faith, and was a U.S. Army veteran having served in during the Vietnam Era. He was a roofer by trade and was currently working with J.D. Helton Roofing in Chattanooga. Mr. Ridge loved spending time with his family, attending family events, and working on vehicles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Pearl Ridge; two sisters, Virginia Webb and Geneva Ryan; and one brother, Eugene Ridge.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Ridge; three daughters, Gail Whited, Cynthia (Randy) Mooneyham, and Lisa (Coy) Smith; eight grandchildren, Autumn Chandler, Ashlyn Bethune, Jesse Smith, Jordon Bethune, Courtney Smith, Alexis Bethune, Abrianna Bethune, and Joseph Bethune; eight great grandchildren, Cambree, Lucas, Rosalind, Georgianna, Declan, Colton, Eleanor, and Leo; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00p.m. in the South Crest Chapel.
Interment will follow in the Lakewood West Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1-8p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
