James David Scoggins, 62, of Harrison, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017.

Mr. Scoggins was a firefighter with the Chattanooga Fire Department for 28 years. Mr. Scoggins was a loving son, father, and husband and was preceded in death by his father, Winston Scoggins, brother, Larry Scoggins, and son, James David Scoggins, Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Cynthia Scoggins; children, Jonathan and Victoria Scoggins; mother, Elsie Scoggins, and brother, Marty Scoggins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 17th at 3:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 5479 Highway 58, Harrison, TN with Rev. Todd McElyea officiating. 

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour at the church.

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
