Ed Jenkins
James “Ed” Jenkins, 83, of Rossville went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 11, 2019. Ed was born on March 6, 1936 in Dayton, TN to the late Mark and Hattie Jenkins. Ed was a United States Air Force veteran having served in the Korean War. He was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church, a Mason for over 50 years with the Dayton Lodge #512 F&AM, and he was a retired long distant truck driver for over 40 years. His passions in life were his family, traveling, working in the yard, and he was an avid Pittsburg Steelers and Atlanta Braves fan.
He was preceded in death by his son, Randall Jenkins; and six sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Gloria Jenkins; daughter, Lisa Morris of Central, S.C.; sons, Billy (Linda) Hull, Jr. of East Ridge, TN and Timmy (Connie) Hull of Ooltewah, TN; sisters, Margaret Thompson and Betty Francisco, both of Dayton, TN; grandchildren, Johnell Hull, Brittney (Brad) Banks, Tara (Brooks) Moore, Kristen (Brian) King, Matthew Hull Vines, and Rory Owens; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Brother Josh Hollifield officiating.
Interment will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-6p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
