James “Jim” Borders, 77 of Henagar, AL passed away Sunday, September 5th, 2021 in a local healthcare facility.
Jim was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, but had lived in Rossville, GA and Henagar, AL for many years. He was an over the road truck driver for 25 years working for several different trucking companies. Jim and his wife started the mobile Icee and Break truck service here in the North Georgia area and had a successful business for many years. He was a Christian and studied his Bible his entire life. Jim loved listening to classic country and gospel music, playing pranks, and making people laugh. He was always wanting to help people and loved his family dearly.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Mae Borders; mother, Lavigne Borders; niece, Sherry Borders;and beloved grandmother, Elizabeth Hoag.
Survivors include his step-children: Debbie (Tony) Martin, Janice (Terry) Romine, Rodney Rines, and Karen (Wayne) Waldon; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 10th, 2021 at 1pm in the South Crest Chapel.
