Janice L. (McCallie) Eargle

Janice L. McCallie Eargle, 56 of Rossville, GA went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 25th, 2022.

Janice was born in Atlanta, GA but lived most of her life in the North Georgia area. She graduated in the 1985 class of Rossville High School and attended Canaan Baptist Church. Janice worked as a caregiver for several years with Mountainside Manor and for NHC of Ft. Oglethorpe in scheduling, supply inventory, and in the dining hall. Janice also worked for Mapco and in the shoe department at K-Mart. She loved to go fishing anywhere she could drop a hook in the water. Janice loved animals and kept many different types of pets during her life including: cats, dogs, birds, fish, snakes, iguanas, and bearded dragons. She had a generous big heart and will be remembered for her kindness, care, and love.

Janice was preceded in death by her father, Arthur L. McCallie; step-father, LeBron “Pop” Childers; and brother, Christopher McCallie.

Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Dennis Eargle; mother, Sandra Childers; sisters, Sandy Duvall, Lisa Preston, and Paula (Ronnie) Murphy; and brother, Brent (Stacy) Childers; and several nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life services will be, Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Canaan Baptist Church, 4318 13th Avenue Chattanooga, TN 37047.  Visitation will start at 12:00 pm.
