Jean G. Welch

 Jean Galloway Welch, 82, of Tullahoma, TN passed from this life on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Brookdale Assisted Living.

Jean grew up in Hogansville , GA. She was the eldest of seven children. After high school she attended Berry College in Rome, GA in 1956. There she met her husband of 57 years, Scott Welch. The two began their lives together as Jean took her first job as a middle school teacher. She was a gifted teacher who loved her students. She then began managing a market research company in Chattanooga, TN. She continued that career and it lead her and Scott to move to Missoula, MT where she ran a branch office for RDD. When she retired she came back to be closer to family and lived in Flintstone, GA. Jean’s favorite day was any day that her house was full of family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ruby Galloway; husband, Scott Welch, Sr.; two brothers; one sister.

 She is survived by her children, Isaac “Butch” Welch, Jr. (Tammie) and Lynne Sparks (Scott); four grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 6th, 2020 at 3:00pm in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.
