Jerry “Big Poppa” Lewis, 66, of Rossville passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 at a local hospital. Jerry was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and Rossville area. Jerry was an honorable man who loved life to its fullest. He never met anyone he did not like and he was always happy. Jerry was a jack of all trades. He loved to work on cars and refurbish furniture. He loved his animals, working in his flower garden, drawing, and enjoying his artwork.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Leota Lewis; brother, J.D. Lewis; and sister, Margie Ellen.
Survivors include his partner, Terrell Williams; children, Melissa Lewis, Keith Lewis, and Casey Lewis; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two brothers, Melvin Lee (Pat) Lewis and Robert Wayne (Dimple) Lewis; two sisters, Glenda (James) Bramble and Diane Lewis; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 28th at 3:00p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Michael Young officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-8p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, GA.
