Jewell L. McCoy, 89 of Flintstone, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019 in a local hospital.
Jewell was born in Chattanooga and lived most of her life in the North Georgia and Chattanooga areas. She enjoyed singing especially for Kelley’s Gospel group. Jewell was a talented guitar player and played for several churches. She was a member of the Lighthouse of the Word Church and would take on any ministry that God gave to her.
Jewell was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Rita Tatum and son, Tommy Bell.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Alfred McCoy; son, Mike (Janice) C. Kelley; daughters, Lynne (Herbert) Hamilton and Valerie (Joe) McDonald; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Donnie Tatum, Frank Tatum, and Jimmy Tatum; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, March 13th at 2pm in the South Crest Chapel. Interment will follow in the Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
