Jimmie Louise “Lou” Johnson, 79 of East Ridge passed away Friday, May 29th, 2020 in her home.
Lou was born in Pond Springs, GA, graduated from Kirkman High School, and lived most of her life in the North Chattanooga area. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and retired after 46 ½ years from Olan Mills as an airbrush artist. In her free time, Lou enjoyed reading her Bible, visiting the “Smokies” and going on other vacations with her family, reading Emily Loring love stories, and collecting dolls. Lou still owned the first doll that she was ever given. She is very loved and will be greatly missed.
Lou was preceded in death by her parents, George and Rosa hope.
Survivors include her husband of almost 44 years, Jimmy Johnson; children, Brandi Wright, Jason Johnson, Gloria Johnson, James Johnson, and Angela Sisk; sister, Anne Elizabeth (Jack) Johnson; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 2nd, at 1pm in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment will follow in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
