Joann (Carroll) Gaddis

Joann Gaddis, 68, of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021 at a local hospital.  Mrs. Gaddis was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and North Georgia having attended Kirkman High School.  Mrs. Gaddis loved spending time with her family and she loved to laugh and have a good time.  She enjoyed playing Bingo and Yahtzee, reading, and working word finds.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Virginia Carroll; two sons, Edward and Dale Gaddis; sister, Betty Jean Morgan; nephew, Roger Boudreau; and niece, Selena King.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Dennis Gaddis; daughter, Karla Gaddis; eight siblings, Lucille (Andy) Wilson, Mary Frances (Larry) Boudreau, James (Donna) Carroll, Johnny (Annette) Carroll, Carolyn (Robert) Carmody, Charles Carroll, Rickey (Roxanne) Carroll, and David Carroll; four grandchildren, Lexus Smith, Damion Gaddis, Brandon Gaddis, and Kayla Lamm; six great grandchildren, Akill Jamichael Lamm, Serenity Bentley, Wayne Smith, Alley Smith, Jack Smith, and Brayden Gaddis; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held Thursday at 2:00p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Andy Wilson officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, GA.
