John Edward Sullivan, Jr. "Eddie"

John E. Sullivan, Jr. “Eddie”, 70, of Rossville passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022 at his residence with his family by his side.  He had lived most of his life in Rossville and attended Lakeview High School.  He worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad for 38 years as a Maintenance Operator retiring in 2013. Eddie was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees 0645 Division-IBT.  Eddie loved getting together with family and friends having cookouts and celebrating birthdays.  He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, traveling/vacationing, watching John Wayne Movies, and he was an avid Georgia Football fan.

He was preceded in death by his father, John E. Sullivan, Sr.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Evelyn Sullivan; two children, Shane (Tonya) Sullivan and Shannon L. Sullivan Monroe (Don); mother, Barbara F. Sullivan “Nana”; sister, Mary J. Rash “Cissy”, six grandchildren, Schyler Seay, Kolby Sullivan, Kelsey Sullivan, Piper (Kyler) Jones, Paige Monroe, and Pierce Monroe; one great grandson, Wyatt Strauss; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Levonne Powell officiating.

Interment will follow at Lakewood South Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4-8p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, GA.
