John "JT" Thomas Padgett

John Thomas “JT” Padgett, 88 of Fairview, GA passed away Saturday, September 4th, 2021 in his home.

JT was born in Summerville, GA, but graduated from Lakeview High School and was a US Army veteran. He retired after 30 years of service as a welder with Combustion. JT was an avid hunter and was a member of a hunting club in South Georgia. He also enjoyed fishing and riding horses. JT was a head strong and determined man who lived life “on his terms.”

JT was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Padgett; parents, Frank and Aline Padgett.

Survivors include his children: Lynn (Phil) Morton, Randy Padgett, and Jerrie Padgett; grandchildren: Stasha, Chad, Brenna, Carmen, and Makaia; and five great grandchildren.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Tuesday, September 7th, 2021 from    6-8pm in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral home & Crematory, Rossville.
