Johnny Lee Quinn, 85 of Flintstone, GA passed away April 20, 2022.
Johnny was born September 12, 1936 in Charleston, TN. At the young age of 15, Johnny began working at Happy Valley farms in Rossville, GA. He later began working at Grant-Pattern Milk Company. Johnny opened a garage in 1971 called Johnny Quinn’s Garage. He would work on community vehicles until he retired in 2012. Johnny married Lema Pauline Green on June 30th, 1957 at Dry Valley Baptist Church and adored her and his children, and many grandchildren. He was an avid guitar player, a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, and a talented hunter. He spent his Sundays going to church and watching NASCAR with his daughter Diane. Johnny was a member of Valley View Baptist Church with his wife, and thought highly of his pastor, Dr. Jeff Brown. Johnny loved to tease those he adored and will be remembered fondly by all.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, James and Easter Myers Quinn; and brother, James Quinn.
Survivors include his wife of almost 65 years, Lema Pauline Quinn; daughters, Diane (Doyle) Morgan and Pam Patterson; five grandchildren: Chris (Morgan) Morgan, Jennifer (Andrew) Heard, Elizabeth (Kurt) Henkel, Nicole (Paul) Dewberry, Brooke (Kevin) Gorham; eight great-grandchildren: Scout Morgan, Gracie Lea Heard, Maggie Heard, Ariel Watts, Kailia Dewberry, Lani Dewberry, Lindsey Gorham, and Matthew Gorham; sister, Jane Prescott; brothers, Charles (Margie) Quinn, Don (Gail), and Billy (Dianne) Quinn; and several nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, April 25th, 2022 from 5-8pm at Valley View Baptist Church located at 6994 Hwy 193 Flintstone, GA 30725. Interment will be held at a later date.
Flowers will be accepted at the church.
