Jonathan Walters Blevins

Jonathan Walter Blevins, 31 of Rising Fawn, GA passed away the evening of Saturday, April 23rd, 2022.

Jonathan was born in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA and had spent most all of his life in the North Georgia area. He worked as a landscaper, commercial plumbing, and with his brothers and father in construction. He greatly enjoyed his jobs. Jonathan enjoyed watching the GA Bulldogs and watching any team beat Alabama Crimson Tide. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and doing anything and everything with his family. Jonathan was very outgoing, never met a stranger, and would do anything to help someone in need. Jonathan was dedicated to his wife and children. He loved his wife Val deeply and his children were his pride and joy. Jonathan, you are dearly missed and deeply loved.

Jonathan was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Marie Blevins and sister, Lisa Marie Blevins.

Survivors include his wife, Valarie Jo Blevins; children: Xavier, Jacoby, Jonathan, Elijah, Kaylee, Waylon, and Tyson; father, Thomas Gregory Blevins, Sr.; siblings: Thomas “Tommy” Gregory Blevins, Jr. (Sara), Michael Robert Blevins (Brooke), and Marcus Hollenbeck; aunts and uncles: Tina Carson, Mike Carson, Toni Mai, Sean McDaniel, and several other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 28th, 2022 at 1pm in the South Crest Chapel. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers: Sean McDaniel, Chucky Hood, Jaye B. Higdon, Thomas White, JR Mathews, and Casey Curtis.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 27th from 4-8pm and Thursday from 11am until the funeral hour in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral home & Crematory, Rossville.
