Joseph “Joe” M. Johnson, 84 of Rossville, GA passed away Thursday, July 28th, 2022.
Joe was born and raised in the Chattanooga area, graduated from City High School, and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from UTC. He was of the Presbyterian faith and a member of Northside Presbyterian Church. Joe worked at the Brainerd Golf Course Pro Shop for over 20 years and then worked for the Arnold Palmer Pro Group until retirement. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed watching and talking about golf, and repairing golf clubs. Joe also enjoyed taking care of his house and yard and spending time with his family. He was detail oriented and meticulous, could fix anything and find a use for anything, smart, and generous. Joe was honest to fault, kept his “T’s crossed and I’s” dotted, and will be remembered for his impeccable handwriting.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Jewel Johnson; and parents, Donald and Elizabeth Johnson.
Survivors include his daughters, Joyce (Don) White and Bobbie Brown; five grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brother, George (Becky Jo) Johnson; one niece and one nephew.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022 at 10:30am in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
