Joyce (Parden) Bowman

Joyce Bowman, 67 of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday December 27th, 2018 in her home.

She was born in Bridgeport, AL, but lived most of her life in the Chattanooga area. Joyce was of the Baptist faith and worked at a textile mill for many years before retirement. She enjoyed going to thrift stores every Saturday, but her passion in life was taking care of her dogs: Angel, Adam, and Brutis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Bowman; two infant sons; and her parents, Thorton and Lillie Mae Parden.

Survivors include her special friend and care taker, Maria “Sissy” Smith and many other friends.

The family would like to give special thanks to Amedisys Hospice and especially nurse Bonnie West for their loving and compassionate care.

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
