Joyce D. Goins Gladney, 76, of Chattanooga passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was a 1960 graduate of Rossville High School, and was of the Church of God faith. She retired in 2005 from Goins Waste Oil Company where she was the office manager for over 40 years. Following retirement, Joyce took care of her husband, after his stroke, for twelve years. She was an excellent caregiver. Her passions in life were her family, playing BINGO, and going to the races at Boyd’s Speedway.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Peanut” Gladney; parents, Gordon and Juanita Goins; sister, Connie Merciers; and brother, Terry Goins.
Survivors include her sons, Damon Gladney of Chattanooga and Chad Gladney of Chattanooga; two grandchildren, Zac Gladney and Morgan Gladney; sister, Sheila (Stanley) Stiles of Rossville; brothers, Grady (Shelly) Loveless of Ringgold and Buddy (Donna) Goins of Rossville; several nieces and nephews; and many others she considered her children and grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses on the West Wing at Parkridge Hospital for their care as well as the care given by Kayla Dulgar, Jim Powell, and Sheila Stiles.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2pm in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Gary Harris and Reverend Donnie Fine officiating.
Interment will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Friday from 4-8pm, Saturday from 12-8pm, and Sunday from 11am until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
