Joyce (Franklin) Hamilton

Joyce Franklin Hamilton, 75. Resident of Chattanooga passed away on Saturday July 25th in the early morning due to complications from her third bout with cancer. Joy was born on June 11th, 1945 in Chickamauga, Georgia. Joy graduated from Central high school in 1963 and went on to  study accounting at Edmondson College and had a career managing finances for several Chattanooga businesses. She loved spending time with her family, her dogs, and interior decorating.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Joan; parents, Minnie Watts Westbrook Franklin and Howard J Franklin; brothers, Howard R. Franklin and Robert L. Franklin. 

Joy is survived by her two sisters, Marie McMellon, Carol McCamish; husband Mickey McCamish; son-in-law, Greg Roach; two grandsons Brandon Staggs and Tanner Roach and his spouse Courtney.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 3:00p.m. at the Lakewood Memory Gardens South.

The family will receive friends Thursday 1p.m. – 2:30p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of  Lane Funeral Home & Crematory.
