Judy Hunter

April 30, 1948 ~ October 13, 2021 (age 73) 73 Years Old

Tribute

Judy Ivey Hunter, born April 30, 1948, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in Rossville, GA.

Judy was born to the late James Arnold Ivey and Marie Epperson Ivey. She attended Central High School and worked as a Secretary/Bookkeeper for several businesses in Chattanooga, TN. She was a Christian and a devoted mother who was also a wonderful homemaker. One of her greatest accomplishments was moving an entire house from one side of the city to the other and setting it up as a rental home. She enjoyed all things interior design including painting, decorating the house with her favorite colors (peach, orange, rust red, gold), and looking at architecture magazines. She was also proud of completing a correspondence program for interior design. One of her missions in life was loving and caring for cats. Judy had a very soft spot in her heart for them and worked tirelessly to help the ones that crossed her path. When she had her mind set on a goal, she was very focused on achieving it. At the same time, Judy also talked about the importance of contentment. To be content in whatever situation we are given, determination, hard work, and a heart for peace in God are the qualities she will be remembered for.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, James Arnold Ivey, II and Marie Ivey; and Jimmy (relationship and last name?)

Survivors include her daughter, Alana L. Price, J. Adam Price (son-in-law), and two grandsons Desmond and Griffin Price; sister-in-law, Frances Victoria “Vicki” Ivey; niece, Kecia (Jack) Morton; cousin, Allison (Kevin) Carpenter (their children: children Teddy and Evie), cousin, Jeremy (Jessica) Morton (their children, Trevor and Charlotte), cousin, Jesse (Amanda) Morton, cousin, TJ (Daphne) Ivey, Aleisha Ivey (children, Addison and Sawyer), cousin, Samantha (Blake) Dowda (their children, Tori and Ember), cousin, Savannah Ivey, niece, Lisa (David) Kesler, and cousin, Zachary Kesler.
