June I. (Gray) Coates

Junie “June” Gray Coates, 71 of Ringgold, GA passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022.

June was born and raised in the Chattanooga area, graduated from Hixson High School, and was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene in Hixson. She retired after many years of service with Standard Coosa Thatcher and did everything from spinning to management. June enjoyed crocheting blankets, being with her family, and reading her Bible. She was hard working, caring, and dedicated to her family.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Coates; parents, Herman and Elizabeth Gray; brothers, Jerry and Barry Gray; and grandchildren, Justin and Chrystal Coates.

Survivors include her sons, Dewayne (Karen) Coates and Daniel Coates; grandchildren: Jessica, Jennifer, and Aaliyah; sister, Becky (Jackie) Hall; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 29th, 2022 at 11am Reverend Stephen Deese officiating in the South Crest Chapel. Interment will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
