Kenneth R. Cooley, 86 of Rossville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 24th, 2019 in a local hospital.
Kenneth was born in Crossville, TN but lived most of his life in the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas. He attended Rossville Church of God of Prophecy and was very active within the church community. Kenneth worked for a number of years at Kenyon Southern and Doors of Distinction. He loved fishing, gardening, taking care of his animals, wood working, and being in his shop.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Cooley; mother and step-father, Katie and Ezra Hayes; first wife, Edna Cooley; step-son, Charles “Chuck” Raines; and four siblings: Jessie Parker, Malcolm Cooley, Betty Bonds, and Nelson Hayes.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Linda Cooley; son, Billy (Barbara) Cooley; step-son, William (Wendy) Raines; grandchildren: Adam and Allen Cooley, and Kolton, Kaden, Kristian, Kameron, Shane, and Logan Raines; great grandchildren: Zoey, Grayson, Gavin, and Gabriel Cooley; several nieces and nephews; and beloved dogs, Buddy and Sapphire.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 28th at 1pm in the South Crest Chapel with Billy Cooley and David James officiating. Interment will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
