Kenneth L. Lancaster, 77 of Ft. Oglethorpe, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 29th, 2019 in a local hospital.
Kenneth was born in Alabama, but lived most of his life in the North Georgia area. He was a talented and hardworking man who owned and operated K&G Body Shop for over 30 years. Kenneth loved the TN Vols, no matter what, but his greatest love was his family. He had the utmost respect and love for his mother and “his girls,” and would do anything in the world for them. Kenneth is loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Lancaster and brother, Harold Lancaster.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Mary “Mickey” Lancaster; mother, Viola Smith; three daughters: Kim (Rob) Henry of Ft. Oglethorpe, Vicky (Jerry) Smith of Chickamauga, and Chris Daniel of Hixson; five sisters; four grandchildren: Kristin (Randall) Driver of Rossville, Tiffany (Cody) Hays of Chickamauga, Jennifer (Tim) Cook of Ringgold, and Jessica Daniel of Hixson; six great-grandchildren: Kennedy and Jack Hays, Michael and Gracie Driver, and Sawyer and Noah Cook; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2019 at 1pm in the South Crest Chapel with Brother Bill Owens officiating. Interment will follow in the Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
