Kennie Haynes, 58, of Dalton, formerly of Rossville, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 at her home. Kennie had lived most of her life in Rossville attending Gordon Lee High School and lived the past five years in Dalton. She worked throughout the years at Shaw Industries and at Erlanger Hospital as a Cardio Tech. Her passions in life were her family. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren dearly. She loved spending time at the beach, working in her flower garden, spoiling her dog and cat, “Brutus” and “Stanley”, and she was an avid Alabama football fan. Kennie was full of life and what her family will miss most is her unexpected and feisty nature.
She was preceded in death by her mom, Anne Nichols; sister, Lynda Anne Nichols; paternal grandparents, Stanley and Rena Nichols; and maternal grandmother, Inez Glenn.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Haynes; three children, Amber (Wayne) Casteel of Chickamauga, Shayna (Jason) Kennedy of Rossville, and Casey Jones of Rossville; father, Kenneth D. Nichols of Cleveland, TN; three grandchildren, Brandon Sisk, Andrew Casteel, and Malea Casteel; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
