Lacey passed away unexpectedly on June 20th 2022. She was such a loving, bright, and caring individual. She lived in the North Country of New York until 2005 where she settled in Chattanooga, TN with her mother.

At just 28 years old she was keen on the knowledge that the world had dished out. She began her journey of transitioning in late middle school at the early age of 14 during a time in which this was considered unacceptable. Living in a very conservative area it took a tremendous amount of bravery in her desire to be her authentic self. She continued to endure family and others who refused to use her preferred pronouns or her chosen name. She persisted not letting it deter her on her journey. Facebook shut her account down because she refused to change the name on her account to what appeared on her legal documents thus sacrificing all her pictorial memories and her lines of communication from that platform.

Lacey had a great deal of love for the family, friends and animals in her life. She made it a priority to make people feel special and loved when any special occasion rolled around. She was the life of the party. She loved to dress up, do her makeup and share good food, drinks and company. She was a wonderful cook. Lacey was the kind of person who could have nothing and would take the shirt off her back to help someone else.  Lacey and her family rescued many lost animals over the years and either found their owners, a new home or kept them and welcomed them into their home.  Her longtime friend Randell the dog had been by her side for the past 12 years.

Her hobbies and interests included gardening with her mother. Fashion and Makeup trends. Doing everyone’s hair, makeup and nails. Her absolute favorite influencer and makeup guru was Jeffrey Star and his line of cosmetics. She was an avid World Wrestling Entertainment enthusiast with an emphasis on the woman’s division and how far the women in the entertainment industry have come. She enjoyed music and dancing and would occasionally break out into a “twerk” at any time anywhere. She loved to make people laugh and frequently made hilarious jokes.

Her work experience included working for Amazon on a number of occasions. She worked in customer service and had recently started her first waitressing job. She recently had become interested in politics and wanted to pursue an education in political science. She had self-studied and desired to strive for the goal of becoming a House of Representatives one day.

There will be two celebrations of life for Lacey held at a later date. One will be held in the Tennessee/Georgia area and one in the Northern NY area.

She is Survived by: Angela S Thivierge, Mother; her Parter, Tony Lajoie of Rossville Ga.; and Stepfather, David B. Lingerfelt, of Hixson TN; Jody and Tricia Thivierge of Nedrow, NY; Father and Stepmother; Siblings include: Kaleigh B Mclean 24 of Lake Placid Ny. Daniel Thivierge 25 of Melbourn FL, Teddy Thivierge 17 of Nedrow Ny., Theresa E. Ashley, Grandmother, of Ogdensburg Ny; Uncle, Stephen Ashley and Family of Ogdensburg Ny;

Aunt, Rebekah Brenno and Family of Ogdensburg Ny; Several Aunts and Uncles and cousins in The Thivierge Family and several Aunts and Uncles and cousins of the Rheome Family.

Proceeded in Death by: Ida F. Rheome and Corliss Rheome, Great Grandparents of Ogdensburg Ny.; Marcel and Patricia Thivierge, Grandparents of Brier Hill Ny; Eliabeth Mattu, Grandmother of Saranac Lake Ny, Special friends that were like family members include: Patrice Thomas, her best friend, of Ringgold Ga, Jennifer, Alan and Mike Graham of Chattanooga Tn, Denise and Louis Lee of Rossville Ga; and Danielle and Jeff Martin of Red Bank TN.
