Laura Ann (Petersen) Maynard

Laura Maynard, 88, of Rossville passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022.  Mrs. Maynard was born in Fort Riley, KS, grew up in Colorado Springs, CO, had lived over 10 years in Sumner, WA and the past 26 years in Rossville, GA where she was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church.  Mrs. Maynard loved to travel and visit with her family.  She was known for her crafts as she loved to sew, crochet, do needle work, and she enjoyed oil painting and cooking.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis “Lewie” Maynard; two children, Hugh Joe Tart and Larry R. Tart; brother, William Austin Petersen, Jr.; sisters, Sally Greenwood and Maxine Petersen; and grandson, Joseph A. McMahon.

Survivors include her four children, Theresa A. McMahon (Jamie), Johnny W. Tart, Jr. (Kathleen), Jeffrey S. Tart, and David G. Tart; eight grandchildren; Twenty great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
