Gale “Lee” Marus Hunt, 72, of Cleveland, TN passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 peacefully at his home.
Mr. Hunt was affectionately known by his family and friends as Lee. His early years were spent in Cleveland, TN but he later moved to Sale Creek, TN to raise his family. Lee’s last years were spent in North Alabama. He was a truck driver, a small business owner, and an avid Tennessee Vols fan. Lee served as a medic in the U.S. Army and was wounded on the battlefield during the Vietnam War. His passions in life were his Christian faith and his family.
Lee was preceded in death by his wife, Sonya G Hunt; parents, Everette L. Hunt and Ada Marie Hunt; and step-mother, Glenna Jewel Hunt.
Survivors include his daughter, Angela Allen (husband Greg) of Saltillo, MS; son, Brian Hunt of Oklahoma; Sister, Penny Hunt of Cleveland, Half Brother, Anthony Hunt of Cleveland; Step Brother, Victor Paul of Cleveland; Grandchildren, Rachel Allen, Reagan Allen, and Rebecca Allen; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held, Saturday May 25th, 2019 at 11a.m. in the South Crest Chapel.
Interment will follow in the Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
The family will receive friends, Saturday from 9a.m. until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
