Lena Joyce Davis

Lena Joyce Davis, 78 of East Ridge, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020 in a local healthcare facility.

Lena was born in Hollywood, AL, but lived in the Chattanooga area for many years. She attended Deliverance Outreach Ministries in Rossville. Lena retired after 20 years at White Star Laundry. In her free time, Lena enjoyed going to thrift stores, collecting bears, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Lena was preceded in death by her second husband, Briggs Davis; first husband and father of her children, Charles E. Holt; parents, Alfred and Callie Hinkles; several siblings; and great grandson, Michael Allen Dale.

Survivors include her children: Janice Dale, Macklin Ray (Joy) Holt, Frankie Charles Holt, and Angela (Davey) Liles; the last of her siblings, Junior Hinkle; nine grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A private funeral service will be held Wednesday April 29th at 11:30am in the South Crest Chapel, webcasting will be available. A private interment will take place in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
