Tribute

Linda Keith Pearson, 72, of Rossville went home to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer.  She was retired from Walker County Board of Education after 28 years of service, working with Fairview Elementary and Stone Creek Elementary Schools.  She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.  Linda was a wonderful cook and enjoyed spending time with her family.  She spent countless hours being involved with her children and grandchildren throughout their lives.  Roberta, who was Linda’s lifelong friend was a special part of her daily life.  She loved her nephews as her own children.  Linda gave her heart to God at an early age and never lost her faith.  She would always say, don’t worry about tomorrow. She was so loved by her family and will be dearly missed. Her entire family referred to Linda as Nanny.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lavon Pearson; parents, George Keith and Earline Prince; sister, Georgia Thompson; and brother, Robert Keith.

Survivors are her children, Donnie (Regina) Owens; Darla (Jack) Abernathy;   grandchildren, Donald Owens, Justin Owens and Dalton Owens; great-grandchildren, Brody Owens, Levi Owens; nephews, Al Jones, Tommy Jones, and Tiny Jones; best friend, Roberta Singleton; several great-nieces and nephews
